If you are a smoker of traditional cigarettes and you have wanted to give electronic cigarettes a try, you most likely already know that the choices can be a bit overwhelming to say the least. In this article today we are going to find out more about the top 7 reasons you should read reviews before you buy an e-cig.

One of the main reasons you should read reviews before you buy an e-cig is because word of mouth is one of the best ways to find out exactly how good or bad a product is. Of course when you go on a webpage to learn about a product you are only going to be able to see the good in a product. The sales people that work for each company knows very well how to draw you in and make you want their product over another product. It is their job to make their product be desirable to you. When you read reviews of a particular product you are getting the actual public opinion of a product.

Another good reason you should read reviews before you by an electronic cigarette is to find out all that the particular brand offers you. Yet another reason to read electronic cigarette reviews before you buy is to find out how well you can expect the product to perform. By reading reviews of electronic cigarettes before you buy them you can be sure that you know exactly what it is you are buying. Reading reviews can also help you to know your options. Some e-cig companies offer different colors and flavors that you might want to know the taste of beforehand. By reading reviews of electronic cigarettes you are privy to exactly what they taste like.

It is best to read reviews of any product before you buy, but it is even more important when you are considering buying an electronic cigarette. The reason for this is because buying an electronic cigarette is not only a personal decision but it is also a heath decision as well. You want to be able to know exactly what you are buying and how it will affect your health. By reading reviews you will be able to learn about the product and how it will affect your body. Because everyone is different, you can’t be 100 percent certain how it is going to affect you but you will be able to know much more than you would without reading folks personal reviews of the products. The FDA Response is out there but so is a lot of scientific based data.

If buying an electronic cigarette is on your agenda in the near future, you should definitely talk to your friends and family who have tried them as well as read as many reviews of the e-cig you are most interested in.

So, you are thinking that you would like to write celeb news? This could be a great way to make money. However, you should be aware of the fact that this may not be the very easiest thing to do. There are some things that you have to keep in mind if you want to do this and you want to be successful.

Start by working on a obtaining a degree in journalism. When you get this degree you will have a much better likelihood of writing this type of news and being taken seriously. Actually, with this degree you may even be able to work for a magazine or company that really focuses on this type of news. They will not hire you if you do not have a degree.

Next, even with a degree you are not guaranteed a job. Therefore, it will be very important for you to get an internship somewhere. You will be able to perfect your writing skills if you take part in an internship. Finally, do your research. Start working on making some connections. This is a wonderful way to find jobs. You may not be able to link with those at the top of the food chain immediately but any little bit can help you. Start reaching out and determining what your next step should be.

Catching Up On Celebrity News

The other day, I went with my husband to get his hair cut at a local salon. While I sat waiting, I decided to pick up one of the coffee table gossip magazines. I cannot remember the last time I read about Jennifer Aniston being pregnant (I have yet to ever actually see a baby) or seen which celebrity has just done a very public adoption of a child from a foreign nation. I actually think at one point it may have been somewhat entertaining. I don’t know what changed—maybe getting married, having (real) kids, having a life, or maybe just being cognizant of the fallen world we are living in.

One of the articles that stood out that week was, the break-up between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. She may or may not (depending on which magazine I read) have discovered she was pregnant after one night of “bad judgment” and they are considering reconciling and forgetting all his gambling, cheating, and addictions. Of course, according to Matt Damon, it is a terrible idea. I also learned that Sandra Bullock secretly adopted a child and there is some speculation that some big stars have had a little ‘work’ done recently. I read about 5 or 6 other celebrity couples that were calling it quits, for various publicly broadcasted reasons and learned that about 7 A-list celebrities are advocating to stop global warming (shocker). I could not believe that this was “entertainment”.

I felt dirty after reading ten minutes of gossip about these people—regular people and their lives. Some of it was stupid things, such as who is dating who—some of it was real accusations or possible truths about cheating, addictions, and divorce. Why is our society so fascinated by these people? From what I read they are the complete opposite of what I would consider to be a mentor or role model. I don’t understand the obsession. Vanity. King Solomon said it best. All is vanity. We are a nation that is captivated by vanity.

The Best Netflix Shows to Watch in 2015

We don’t have cable in our home, but we watch a lot of TV on Netflix. I often watch shows that have been on for several seasons and watch them all at once. However, there is one show coming out in September 2015 that I am super pumped to watch, and that is the final season of Downton Abbey.

I was a little late to the Downton party, I didn’t discover the show until it had already been on for a season or two. However, one episode in, and I was hooked. I love period dramas anyway, so I was immediately sucked into the Crawley family’s word. The clothes, the house, the upstairs/downstairs drama was a breath of fresh air. I looked forward to each new episodes.

Over the last 5 seasons the show has gained quite a following in the States as well as in the UK, and we can hardly wait till each fall when a new season rolls out. This fall brings the 6th and final season with the Crawleys, and it will be one to watch for sure. I hope that loose ends will be tied up, and the storylines will be wrapped up in a way that doesn’t leave us hanging. I think they will do a great job on that, and that we will see it end nicely.

Several of my friends are Downton watchers, too. We have great discussions about the episodes, and we are all a little sad it’s the last season. Thankfully, we can rent them all on DVD and relive the early 20th century with the Crawleys whenever we want. I never thought a British TV show would be one of my favorites!

The Best Celebrity News About Vince Vaughn

Vince Vaughn is a dreamy actor that millions of people all over the world love to follow. He has starred alongside some of the most successful leading actor in the world and he has made a huge name for himself based on his comedy and his acting ability. He has made waves this past week because of some items he shared in a recent interview with a British magazine. In the interview he was asked about guns and he gave a very different answer than most Hollywood types. As far as celebrity news goes, this was major news. Vince stated that he loved guns, he thought guns needed to be easier to get, and he lauded the idea of having guns in schools for the safety of the children. He even went so far as to say that the most prestigious political figures in the USA have armed guards around their children.

Celebrity news can come in all shapes and sizes, just like the celebrities themselves. When it comes to gathering and processing your celebrity news there are a few things you need to remember. First, most celebrity news is going to be basic, generic, fluff. In essence all you will get is the fluff pieces they want to give. The second thing you need to understand about celebrity news is that the majority of the celebrities are only going to give answers that can further their careers. This is what makes Vince Vaughn’s outburst so amazing. The majority of Hollywood hates guns and thus this could harm his career. It is a refreshing day when a true celebrity is willing to share their heart and nothing else. I cannot wait to see what happens in the coming days and weeks.

Finding Great TV Shows

I have always been a fan of television. Even as a child, when I didn’t watch as much television, I really liked the shows that I did watch. I can even tell you which show was my favorite one and when I watched it. I remember that I would always watch The Monkees on the little black and white television in my parent’s room while I was waiting to leave for my swimming lessons. I was probably the only kid in elementary school that had a huge crush on Davey Jones. It was the best show on television in my opinion and I still think it is pretty good today, though now I see how goofy it really was.

Anyway, now that I am older, I still like to watch television though it seems harder to find good shows. And to top it off when you do have a good show to watch on television, you have to sit through so many commercials, most of which are annoying. Thank goodness television is changing and we have more options for watching television than just regular programming.

Now we are able to subscribe to things like Netflix and other services which allow viewers to find and watch great shows without having to sit through commercials. We can even sort through shows to find the ones that we want to watch and we can pause and rewind shows in case we have to leave the room or miss something that one of the characters says. I think that this is something that definitely make shows great and if you haven’t tried a subscription service yet, you are missing out for sure.

Deer Hunting Season And The Entertainment Industry

Being Prepared / No Comments
deer-hunting-season.jpg

When it comes to survival and outdoor living, Hollywood is the last place that I would like to get my information. And yet they are always sticking their noses in the business of other folks and trying to make a social stand against what they fail to understand. Deer hunting season is something that I look forward to every year. I have been hunting deer for most of my life and some of the best memories I have are tied, in some ways, to the act of hunting. I spent a great deal of my youth in a tree stand and I spent some awesome time with my dad and brothers while we would hunt deer. I love deer season and I think the entertainment industry needs to stop trying to smear the sport. Here are a few things that I would like the entertainment industry to learn and to understand.

Deer hunting season is not about being inhuman or trying to be the alpha. There are a lot of folks like me that depend on this season to fill the freezer with meat. I do not have a lot of money and the deer hunting season allows me to fill the freezer with the food that we will need for the winter and parts of the summer. The entertainment industry is trying to make it look like all I care about is hanging a trophy on the wall. I am not a wall hanger. I have zero heads on the wall. In fact, the act of mounting a kill is something that only appeals to the wealthy and the sportster. I kill for the food and that is something that the entertainment industry does not seem to understand.

Deer hunting season also means that I am going to be able to spend some more time with the family. Hollywood seems to love making movies about absentee dads and families that fall apart. Well I am trying to do the exact opposite. I am trying to build a family that stays together. I take my daughter and my son hunting with me. They have each killed several deer and we always enjoy the chance to hang out and just spend time together. Deer hunting season allows me this chance and I do not want to hear any liberal entertainment industry executive tell me that I am a murderer.

Finally, deer hunting season is something that you do not have to be a part of. It is totally voluntary. So if you entertainment folks are not interested in it then shut up. Leave it alone. Do not go hunting. It will leave more deer for the rest of us that enjoy the meat.

My Favorite TV Shows And Movies

As a kid there were a few shows that I really remember loving. I always watched Fraggle Rock. It was a very weird cartoon about underground creatures (puppets) that had to deal with everyday life. As an adult I know understand the creators were probably smoking dope or snorting PCP. I mean how do you come up with such an off the wall show? Another show I loved to watch was called Dinosaurs. The idea behind the show was to show a family of mixed dinosaurs that lived and worked just as we do today. The catch was that this occurred almost 70 million years ago. The main character of the show was actually a small baby that would throw hissy fits and cry all the time. He would then say, I’m the baby, gotta love me.

I am sharing this because as an adult I am now wondering why I spent so much time as a kid watching these incredibly idiotic shows. I also wonder why my parents allowed me to watch these shows. All they did was make me dumber. There was zero education in the films and that makes me sad. In the world that we live in today we have several other shows that are just as trivial and just as bad for kids. And yet the kids are continuing to watch these shows at a fevered pitch. The main show that comes to my mind is called Sponge Bob Square Pants.

That has to be the absolute dumbest show on the TV these days. I actually fear that my children will become dumber by being in the same room when it is on. What are your thoughts on this show?

My All Time Most Loved Shows

I have been watching television for almost 25 years now. Over that time I have watched a ton of shows and I have become somewhat of a professional in finding the best shows and identifying the worst shows. I like a variety of shows and I am not easily pigeonholed into liking one particular genre. With that being said I wanted to share a few of my favorites as well as a few quips about each one.

I love watching the show called Cheers. Sam Malone is my favorite character; I know that this is an older show and that many of the younger viewers will not like this type of show. I love that this how is located in a bar and that it rarely leaves this area. Instead of relying on ever-changing scenery, it relies on good acting and good writing.

I also like the spin off from this show called Frasier. Frasier is a show that is based in Seattle, Washington and it follows the life of Dr. Frazier Crane, his brother Nyles, his father Marty, his house keeper Daffney, and a few of his friends. The show is mainly about the love life of all characters and it follows the love interest of Nyles and Daffney.

My absolute favorite show of all time is called 24. This is a show that is all about one man racing against the clock to thwart the plans of would be terrorist. Jack Bauer is the main character and he is played by Keiffer Sutherland. The show is shot in real time and it plays in real time. It is high drama and it always leaves me wanting more. A great show that I am very glad has come back to television.

My 3 Favorite TV Shows

The television shows that come on today are nothing like the ones that I grew up watching. I miss the days of the great sitcoms that actually told a story in under thirty minutes. Today the shows are all based on reality television. While there might be a place for reality TV, I miss the good old days of the sitcom. Here are three of the best TV shows I have watched.

First is the king of TV, Seinfeld. This was a show about nothing. The show itself followed the lives of 4 main characters. Jerry was the lead, followed by Elaine, George, and Kramer. Kramer was the neighbor across from Jerry and he was the clown of the show. The show followed these four people throughout New York and it chronicled their life. A great comedy that really is timeless.

Second, Cheers. This was a show based around the theme of a bar in Boston. Sam Malone was the owner of the bar and he was a retired baseball player. He had pitched for the Boston Red Sox and he was relatively famous. The bar had several regular customers and the show followed the hijinks and the trouble that they would get into. A great show from the late 80’s and early 90’s.

Third, Frasier. This was a show that spun off from the original Cheer’s show. The main character was Frasier Krane. He moved from Boston and was now living n Seattle, Washington. He was taking care of his father, Martin, who was a retired police officer. The show also featured a brother named Nyles and a housekeeper named Daffney, who Nyles was deeply in love with.

So Happy for Fall TV Shows

Fall is my favorite time of year when it comes to entertainment. I’m a bit of a TV junkie and I have a slew of favorite shows that I watch every single week. There are many nights when my DVR is set to capture three or four different programs so that I can watch them all on the weekends. During the summer months, I sometimes feel like I’m going through withdrawals. Summer TV is the most boring ever! I was so excited when the Fall premiers of my favorite programs started this year. Here is a look at some of the best TV shows this season.

First, I love Glee. This might seem weird since it’s a musical show set in a high school and I am well, not a high schooler or very musically inclined. But even as a thirty year old mom that cannot carry a tune, I love this show. I relate to the characters and I find myself getting personally involved in their drama. Over the summer, one of the main characters died unexpectedly after a drug overdose. Just a couple weeks ago, they did a special tribute to him where they basically killed off his character and allowed to cast to grieve in character. It was a powerful episode and I’m not going to lie… I totally cried.

Second, I enjoy the Biggest Loser. After my own weight loss battle a few years ago, I draw inspiration from the trainers and the contestants every single year. I can’t wait to see who will get voted off each week and I’m always at home cheering on my favorite players!

If you are interested in the coming and going of celebrities then you are going to need to read the following information. For those that thought Jennifer Aniston was gone or that she was unable to make a great movie any longer you must not have seen her new film called “We’re The Millers”. This is an outrageously funny movie that not only highlights her beauty and her body, but it shows off her ability to act as well. This is a great film that will have you laughing the whole time. The film was shot in the small town of Leland, North Carolina as well as the metropolitan city of Wilmington, North Carolina. If you are looking for a great film that will keep you laughing then this is the film for you.

In other news, Ashton Kutcher is making headlines once again. His new film, Jobs, highlights the life and struggles of Steve Jobs. It is a great film that is being regarded as a possible movie of the year award winner. However, Ashton is making news for other reasons as well. He was recently given an award by MTV and in the award he made a few controversial statements. Among the statements made, Kutcher said that opportunity looed a lot like hard work. He also said that he was never above any job he ever had and that real beauty was found in those that used their mind. Not a very Hollywood thing to say, but amazing nonetheless. Check out the viral video for yourself and you will be surprised.

Must Watch TV Shows for Summer 2013

The summer is here. That means TV watchers are forced to say good-bye to their favorite programs, which will hopefully return in the fall. Meanwhile there’s summertime television to fill the void. There are a few shows you’re going to want to watch out for this summer.

Without a doubt, the most exciting program that will finally be hitting the airwaves again is “Whose Line is it Anyway?” Yes, the show is silly, cut it’s also hysterically funny. Tuning into the antics of these improv comedians offers the perfect way to wind down after a long day. Although the show has a new host, the powers that be managed to bring back the same hysterical cast you fell in love with back when Drew Carrey hosted. If you can’t catch the program when it airs, you’ll definitely want to set your DVR to catch the fun. The show airs on The CW.

“Devious Maids” might not be for everyone, but fans of “Desperate Housewives” will want to check it out. Not only do the two shows have the same creator, but they also stick to the same soapy feel. The difference? This time the show has a Latina feel that Cherry has borrowed from the tele-novella. It looks like it might be an upbeat, somewhat scandalous version of “Downtown Abbey”. “Devious Maids” can be found on Lifetime.

If you’re looking for something that feels contemporary and like something that combines reality with fiction, you want to head over to ABC Family and check out “The Fosters”. It’s an edgy drama that looks at an interracial pair of lesbians and follows their adventures while they raise biological and foster children.

The Day the Music Died

I was watching the news not too long ago when I saw that legendary bluegrass artists Earl Scruggs passed away. I was sad to see that one of North Carolina’s native sons had gone on home.  Scruggs was a pioneer of bluegrass music. He was able to invent a new style of banjo playing. This style became known as the Scruggs style. It combined bother rhythm and melody with picking that was innovative for the time. When banjo music was still tied to a strumming style like that of guitars, Scruggs created a whole new sound for bluegrass music. Still his music is iconic with songs like “Foggy Mountain Breakdown”.  It got me to thinking about the fate of bluegrass music.

Bluegrass is definitely not as popular as it used to be. Plus, I live in the area where Scruggs hales from, and still people are just not on board like they used to be. You can still find a few country stores where on a Friday night the band gets together for a foot stomping. I just see bluegrass music losing some of the charm that once made it so popular. Earl Scruggs was a gem in the music community.

I hope that bluegrass doesn’t go the way of Big Band or other genres that just fell from popularity. It is too important to this region and to the people here. I think to keep bluegrass music alive, there would need to be a revival. Bands like Mumford and Sons are starting to pick up the old sounds of Appalachia. We’ll see how this pans out; maybe the roots will always run deep here in the mountains.

Real Music Makes a Comeback

Posted by admin on August 15, 2012

For too many years now the music industry has been trying to sell us second-rate slop made by artists who have no talent whatsoever. With enough glitz and glam anyone can be a musical sensation. Shows like American Idol did their best to combat this new direction taken by the music industry. With a genuine desire to find talented musical artists, they started out with a good purpose and motive.

Then somewhere along the line the music industry machine ran over the flicker of hope. I don’t blame them personally. It was a shift that happened in the 1980’s with glam bands, big hair, and electronic music manipulations. With all of the junk to distract the audience, it was bound to happen. The general public became jaded with the distractions. They could no longer tell the difference in real talent and the flashing lights before them.

But no more! The day has come, and it came with a vengeance at the 2012 Grammys. Adele took home six awards that night, and it was a victory for music. No more Lady Gaga or Katie Perry sensational or dramatic crap. It’s just real music winning one for the real artists out there that have only their voices and a dream. We, the adoring fans and out-crying masses, are sick of the drama and glitter and crazy shenanigans. We just want some good music. The kind you sing along to. The kind you know every word to. The kind you can rock to! So let’s hear it for Adele who perhaps single handedly brought back real music in the face of an industry that was promoting the show and the music!
