to follow Jesus.
250 went to receive follow-up in response to the call to follow Jesus.
Decisions to testify about Jesus
5,043 committed to invite someone who is not a follower of Jesus to study the first four chapters of the Gospel of John.
4,722 picked up a guide for leading an evangelistic Bible study on their campus, and will be followed up with by InterVarsity staff.
Decisions to serve in cross-cultural missions
2,676 committed to serve long-term (two years or longer). This is the highest number in the past three Urbanas!
4,990 committed to serve short-term (one week to two years)
Offering
Nearly $900,000 was given to the Urbana offering. Money continues to come in for the offering. This entire amount goes to these organizations.
Urbana program viewed around the world
By January 15, viewers had watched 106,000 videos from Urbana 09.
InterVarsity connected with new students and potential staff
Over 1,000 participants with no campus fellowship committed to lead evangelist Bible studies after Urbana. They connected with InterVarsity staff at the InterVarsity exhibit, picked up materials for leading a study, and gave their contact for future follow-up.
InterVarsity Link is following up with 125 people who expressed interest in serving 2 years or more with the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students.
InterVarsity Global Projects and the Global Urban Trek are following up with 550 people who would like to join short-term teams going abroad in 2010.
400 people interested in becoming InterVarsity staff went through the first and second stages of the interview process at the InterVarsity exhibit during Urbana 09.
