The Welcome Wagon and Asthmatic Kitty is partnering with Urbana 09's International Poverty Track and FreeSetGlobal.com in an effort to help end the sex trade industry in the Sonagacchi red light district, Kolkata’s most infamous sex trade community.

What can you do? Download the Welcome Wagon's 4-song EP from iTunes and come alongside women in the Sonagacchi red light district. All the proceeds will go toward launching a new dignified career for women who want to escape the sex trade.
Where do the proceeds go?
FreeSet Global is an organization based in India that works to sustainably employ women out of the sex trade industry. Since their inception, their company has come to be known for a variety of fair trade, organic jute handbags. Looking forward, the company is now set out to increase their operation, which means increasing the amount of women they can rescue from the sex trade industry in Sonagacchi, by developing a new T-shirt line.
The proceeds from The Welcome Wagon's EP will be solely donated to the development of FreeSet Global’s new T-Shirt facility.
